Exploring Students’ Online Learning Readiness during Covid-19 Pandemic: A Case of an English Class in an Indonesian Junior High School

Online learning readiness has become crucial and needs to be considered support E-learning from various perspectives. This article sought discover the Readiness (ELR) factors students’ perspectives during Covid-19 Pandemic. Fifty-two seventh-grade Junior High School students in Indonesia participated this study. quantitative research used thirty-nine items a questionnaire as data collection instrument modified Teddy Swatman’s (2006) model known factors. The utilized six factors, namely (1) readiness, (2) teachers’ (3) internet access supports, (4) management (5) school culture, (6) tendencies. findings indicated that toward had an ELR score of 69%, which means they were ready for but needed slight improvement. results showed experienced difficulties (i.e., untrained operating electronic devices, devices lagged online teaching-learning process, trouble following English material due lack instruction teachers) implementing E-learning. writer concluded student towards was capable required some improvement aspects.
